The first phase of the eight-stand continuous rolling production project, which was invested 2.5 billion yuan by Guangdong Baojia Technology Co., Ltd., is about to be officially put into operation. This marks a major breakthrough for this leading enterprise in the cold-rolled stainless steel industry in eastern Guangdong, achieving an annual production capacity of 1 million tons and entering the forefront of global large-scale production of precision stainless steel thin plates.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guangdong Baojia Stainless Steel Industry Co., Ltd., Baojia Technology has inherited the 25-year technological accumulation of its parent company.

Since its establishment in Jiedong Economic Development Zone, Jieyang City in 1999, the enterprise has been dedicated to the high-end stainless steel cold rolling field. It now has a 150-acre modern production base, equipped with advanced facilities such as 20-roll cold rolling mills and continuous bright annealing furnaces. Its 2B and BA grade stainless steel panel products have long held a leading position in the market of eastern Guangdong. Through cooperation between industry, academia and research, as well as intelligent upgrading, the enterprise's annual production capacity has been increased to 300,000 tons, covering all specifications of stainless steel thin plates from 0.1 to 2.5mm.

The first phase of this production project adopts a 1780mm eighteen-roller eight-pass continuous rolling unit, integrating advanced technologies from Germany and Japan as well as Siemens' intelligent system. With a rolling speed of 600 meters per minute, it sets a new industry record and can achieve large-scale production of 0.25 - 3.0mm precision stainless steel thin plates.

The project is equipped with the world's leading fully hydrogen continuous bright annealing production line. It innovatively adopts the "double-stand leveling" process and the thermal tail gas recovery system, which increases the product yield by 15% and reduces energy consumption by 20%, fully meeting the production requirements of 200/300/400 series stainless steel.

From 300,000 tons to 1,000,000 tons, the capacity expansion of Baojia Technology is not just a numerical increase; it is also a reflection of China's stainless steel industry's advancement towards high-end and intelligentization.
