409 stainless steel sheet
409 stainless steel sheet has a low carbon content, usually no more than 0.03%, and a chromium content ranging from 17.0% to 19.0%. It also contains elements such as manganese, silicon, nickel, phosphorus, sulfur and titanium, with strict regulations on the content of each element. For instance, the carbon content does not exceed 0.08%, the manganese and silicon contents are respectively no more than 1.00%, and the nickel content does not exceed 0.50%. The yield strength of 409 stainless steel sheet is no less than 175 MPa, the tensile strength is no less than 360 MPa, and the elongation is no less than 25%. Due to its excellent high-temperature resistance, 409 stainless steel sheet is often used in automotive exhaust systems to improve system efficiency and reduce exhaust emissions. Additionally, it is also suitable for household heating furnaces, farm equipment and fuel filters and other devices that require high-temperature resistance.
