BAOJIA 410 same as Yongjin 410 stainless steel belongs to the martensitic type of stainless steel. Its production follows the American ASTM standards. The corresponding international designations include 410, UNS S41000, SUS410, 1.4006, etc. In China, it is equivalent to 1Cr13 stainless steel grade 2. The core characteristic of this material is that through heat treatment, its strength and hardness can be significantly enhanced, and it also possesses magnetism. This feature makes it have unique application value in many industrial fields.
High strength and hardness: After appropriate heat treatment, the yield strength of 410 stainless steel is ≥ 205 MPa, and the tensile strength is ≥ 440 MPa. The martensite structure endows it with high hardness and wear resistance, effectively resisting wear and scratches .
Machinability: It is easy to undergo mechanical processing operations such as cutting, bending, stamping, and drilling, and can be processed into various shapes and sizes of components to meet the customized needs of different industries .
Corrosion resistance and environmental adaptability
Basic corrosion resistance: Contains more than 11.5% chromium. It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in dry air, humid air, urban atmosphere, fresh water, distilled water, etc., and is suitable for use in outdoor components such as building facades, railings, or equipment such as water tanks and water pipes.
Limitations: The corrosion resistance is lower than that of austenitic stainless steel (such as 304, 316). It has poor tolerance to strong alkaline solutions (such as concentrated sodium hydroxide) and high-concentration chloride ion environments (such as seawater, salt water). Long-term exposure may lead to corrosion.
Kitchenware sector: Used for manufacturing tableware, knives, cookware, etc. The high strength and corrosion resistance ensure that the kitchenware is durable and easy to clean.
Automotive manufacturing field: Applied to exhaust pipes, engine parts, etc. The heat resistance and corrosion resistance meet the demanding conditions of automotive operations.
